Don Rafael discovers in Casiano's documents that he belongs to the Brazilian air force. Alberto receives a phone call from Don Rafael and pretends not to know what happened when salt crystals appeared with the diamonds.

Alberto tells Ester that he sent Quirino to look for Casiano at the airport but he did not arrive. Esther despairs. Donato drives down the road. He sees an injured couple and tries to help them.
