The writer Walter Johnson wants to rent the yacht to Lucas, a sailor who has just tried to kill his unfaithful girlfriend. Lucas is reluctant, but Reneé, Walter's wife, convinces him. Lucas and the couple embark on the trip during which Lucas and Reneé become lovers.
